API Terms & Rules

By accessing or using the artist.tools API (the “API”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and rules. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the API.

1. Access and Revocation

  • artist.tools reserves the right to revoke, limit, or suspend your access to the API at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.
  • Your access may be restricted if your usage violates these terms, harms the platform, or creates a competing interest with artist.tools.

2. Data Usage Restrictions

  • You may not store, cache, or retain artist.tools API data for the purpose of creating or powering a directly competing service to artist.tools.
  • You must not resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize any part of our data.
  • You may not build or offer a product whose primary value proposition is the redistribution of data retrieved from the artist.tools API.
  • You may use the API to enrich your own internal tools or services, provided those services do not act as a substitute for artist.tools.

3. Attribution & Branding

  • You must not imply any partnership, endorsement, or official integration with artist.tools without express written permission.
  • You may not use the artist.tools name, logo, or branding elements without prior approval, except for accurate and non-prominent attribution.

4. Rate Limits and Fair Use

  • Usage of the API is subject to rate limits defined by your developer plan.
  • Excessive usage, scraping, or attempts to bypass limits may result in immediate suspension of access.

5. No Warranty

  • The API is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or availability of any particular endpoint.
  • We may modify or deprecate endpoints, data structures, or response formats at any time.

6. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the API after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

7. Legal

  • By signing up for a developer account and/or using the API, you accept and agree to these terms.
  • You are solely responsible for complying with any laws or regulations applicable to your use of the API.
